Turkey sausage sauté with butternut squash, kale and roasted almonds

As of now I have never cooked with butternut squash, not really sure if I have ever really eaten it. To my surprise they are soo delicious!! I love them!! Here I show my love by cooking them with turkey sausage, kale and roasted almonds. The almonds really popped and added great texture. For sure going to make this more often.

Anna's birthday

If you can't tell I am a full blown pintrest girl and when Anna's birthday rolled around I was able the test the waters of DIY crafting. I made Cherry cupcakes with vanilla cream cheese frosting and added tons of sprinkles. Made the hat out of scrap fabric and a cardboard ice cream box. Topped it off with craft paper pin wheels. I had a blast making everything.

Spinach tomato frittata with truffled potatoes ♥

Pretty much a brunch of stuff we had laying around in our fridge. I always wanted to make a frittata and when I tried it turned into a egg scramble. Who knew the key was baking it, google knew. So thanks to you google!! Turned out great and ended up being pretty healthy :)

Horchata

I love horchata, living in LA I could find it pretty easy. Not the case here in Vancouver. So I thought "Why not make it then?" So here is my step one of my homemade horchata. It's chopped up rice, grated nutmeg, lemon rind and cinnamon sticks. Soak it over night in 3 cups water. Remove the cinnamon sticks and lemon, then blend it in the blender. Strain into a pitcher using a nut milk bag, cheese cloth would do the trick as well. Serve chilled with powered cinnamon on top.

Strawberry coconut breakfast bars

These go great in the morning with coffee. They are healthy and easy to make, I got the recipe from a blog called tasty yummies http://tasty-yummies.com/ I love this blog. Also you can tell I had some fun with my star cookie cutter :)
